LEGO® - Princess Leia (Boushh) helmet 75351

The LEGO® Star Wars Helmets Collection has captured the hearts of Star Wars fans with its attention to detail. These builds are fun and look great wherever you choose to display them.

Having completed the Darth Vader and Mandalorian helmets, I was intrigued by the release of the Princess Leia (Boushh) helmet. This particular choice stood out as one of the more unconventional selections within the series, adding a unique touch to the collection.

The promotional photos of the Princess Leia helmet transported me back to the iconic scene in Return of the Jedi; recalling the tension-filled moments when Leia, disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh, infiltrated Jabba the Hutt's palace. The helmet, though fleeting in its appearance on screen, holds significant meaning for those who remember the pivotal role it played in the film.

The attention to detail in the construction of the Princess Leia (Boushh) helmet is truly remarkable. Opening the instructions I was greeted by several stills from the movie featuring the helmet and a preface written by Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, the creative director of LEGO® Star Wars summarising the reason why this helmet should be included in this collection along with so many iconic others. During the build, as I completed each bag, I could see each part coming together to complete the iconic profile of this helmet. The previous helmets I have assembled followed a similar workflow, However, The Boushh helmet is quite different and it was interesting to see the methods used to replicate the design.

Once completed, the Princess Leia helmet has become an instant focal point of my LEGO® Star Wars display. Its presence is nostalgic and brings a sense of history and significance, serving as a reminder of Leia's courage and resourcefulness in her mission to rescue Han Solo. It stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Star Wars saga and the beloved characters that have become cultural icons.
